Kofi Kingston: Xavier Woods Deserves To Win Singles Gold, It’s Long Overdue
Kofi Kingston goes to bat for Xavier Woods.
Throughout his career with WWE, Xavier Woods has been extremely successful as a tag team competitor, racking up multiple tag title wins.To be specific, Woods has spent nearly 1,000 days as tag champion since the birth of the New Day in 2014.
As of publish time, Woods is the only member of the New Day that hasn’t tasted singles gold. Speaking with the Battleground podcast for a new interview, Kofi Kingston advocated for that to change.
“For Xavier to have a singles title, I know that’s important to him. It’s long overdue. He’s amazing on the mic, he’s amazing in the ring. His physique, his body gamed up.”
Kingston continued on and said that he’s going to force Adam Pearce to make it happen.
“He deserves to have singles gold, it’s long overdue. We’re going to keep on putting the pressure on the bald headed tyrant, Adam Pearce, and we’re going to force him to make that happen at some point in time.”
