Kip Sabian Calls Stiff Headbutt From Angry Fan A Highlight Of His Career
Kip Sabian recalls getting headbutted by an older wrestling fan during a show.
Kip Sabian enjoys being a heel. As such, sometimes you antagonize your audience a little too strongly, and sometimes, you will flirt with the wife of an older gentleman in the audience, and he may retaliate with a stiff headbutt.
This once happened to Kip Sabian, and he discussed the experience during a recent interview with Sean Ross Sapp ahead of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025. Sabian admitted to Fightful that the headbutt was actually very hard, but since he didn’t sell it, it played out even better. Additionally, he describes the moment as one of the best of his entire career.
“Do you know what? That is actually one of the best moments of my entire career. The reason why is this old fella headbutted me so hard. I mean, like so hard right on the bridge of the nose, and I no sold it completely. Just looked back at him, said—we won’t say the word that I said back to him. But yeah, just no sold it completely. That was the match with Robbie X.
“Bro, so hard. So hard. All I was doing, like, I guess my schtick back in the day was very much I would always insult the audience, play with the audience. Like that was just what I used to do. It was always fun. I guess I was flirting with his wife a little bit too hard and brother got a bit offended and here we go—headbutt to the nose, no sell by me. It made him look like an absolute coward. I can’t believe you found that. That’s wild.”
Kip Sabian recently made history in London at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025. He and Killswitch lost to Adam Copeland and Christian Cage. Sabian took a pinfall after a Pop-Up Spear combo from the former Edge and Christian in their first pay-per-view match as a tag team in 24 years. Check out the full results for that event here.
