Kevin Von Erich: I Don’t Think You Could Find A Man On Earth That Can Play Ric Flair

Kevin Von Erich discusses the actor that played Ric Flair in ‘The Iron Claw’.

‘The Iron Claw’ is a 2023 biopic on the story of the Von Erich wrestling family and the tragedy that follows the family throughout. Several iconic wrestlers of the past are portrayed in the movie, including Ric Flair. However, following the release of the film, the portrayal was a source of contention from fans, but in Kevin Von Erich’s mind, no one could have played a convincing Flair.

While speaking to Hey! (EW) in a new interview, Kevin Von Erich was asked about the performance, noting that he doesn’t think you could ‘find a man on earth’ that can play Ric Flair.

“Ric Flair has done so much personalities, it’s just busting out of him, you know? I don’t think you can find a man on Earth that can play Ric Flair. McCallum, he did a great job, I thought, on my dad. There’s one point where he yells out a cuss word at my brother. You know, it sounded just like him. I have to say, I looked around. Where’s dad? I was there for a minute.”
