Kevin Nash Remembers Getting The Call To Star In ‘Magic Mike’, Thought It Was A Rib

Kevin Nash recalls getting the call for ‘Magic Mike’.

Back in 2011, wrestling fans were shocked to hear the news of Kevin Nash joining the ‘Magic Mike’ cast, primarily due to the nature of the film. If you’re unaware — the three-film franchise revolves around a group of male strippers.

Speaking with Denise Salcedo for a new interview, Nash remembers getting a call for the movie, saying that he thought it was a rib.

“I thought it was a rib when I got the call. I said, ‘What am I going to do?’ and they said ‘You’re going to be a dancer.’ I said, ‘I’m 55 years old, I got a bad knee.’ They were like, ‘No.’ I feel blessed because the guys that were in that crew were so great. [Channing Tatum] is a friend for life and Adam [Rodriguez] is a friend for life. Joe [Manganiello], Matt [Bomer], Reid [Carolin], who was the writer.”

The franchise seemingly ended back in 2023, as ‘Magic Mike’s Last Dance’ was released to poor reviews, earning a 48% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
