During the December 20th edition of AEW Collision, Kazuchika Okada and Knight would battle in the Gold League, going back and forth throughout their bout. For the finish, Okada would hit a wheelbarrow German suplex, following it up with a Rainmaker attempt which Knight was able to counter into a roll-up to score a shocking victory over the AEW Unified Champion.

While speaking in a digital exclusive posted to AEW’s social media pages, Kevin Knight would comment on the victory, noting that he felt it, and Okada will never forget it.

“You lot here saw in Manchester, UK, the Jet get the W over the self-proclaimed world-renowned best tournament wrestler of all time, Kazuchika Okada. He fell victim to The Jet. One, two, three, clean. Square in the middle of the ring. You all saw it. The Jet felt it, and Okada is never going to forget it. Hey, and we got, what is it, a five-way tie in the Gold League of this C2, and it’s been one for the books, baby, and The Jet is not wavering. The faith is never wavering in The Jet. Yes, I took two L’s back to back, but tonight I brought it back and brought all the frustration, all the energy, all the pain to Okada-san. So nothing, nothing can stop me now. Oh my God, I feel so good. I feel so good. We got one more match coming up in the Hammerstein Ballroom and PAC, you better bring your A game because when we step in the ring, it’s all eyes on us to crown a new king, a New York baby. So do not come in there half-assed because The Jet will make you pay for it. Because at the end of the day, The Jet is the one you look up too and The Jet is Too Fly. Okada-san!”

Knight previously noted that he feels naked without Speedball Mike Bailey in his corner during the Continental Classic. You can read more about that here.
