During Friday’s CMLL event, Kevin would find himself in a strange position, as the emerging AEW babyface would accompany the Death Riders’ Claudio Castagnoli for a CMLL World Title defense against Ultimo Guerrero. Now, Knight has explained why he was at ringside for the bout.
In Speedball Mike Bailey’s latest vlog, he would ask his tag team partner Kevin Knight about accompanying Claudio Castagnoli for the bout, with Knight explaining that he had to make sure that AEW kept the gold.
“It’s a very interesting night. I think it’s a full moon or I don’t know. When you’re in Mexico City, just that blood just get pumping. I just want to support everybody on the whole team. I was still hurting, resting up for your match. I knew you had it. I knew you had it. I had to make sure that… AEW keeps the gold.”
