Okada would walk away with the victory and the championship. Okada would hold onto the championship all the way up to AEW All In 2025, where he would unify the title with the International Championship after defeating Kenny Omega at the event.
On August 11th, Okada’s reign as champion would reach 509 days, surpassing Jade Cargill’s TBS Championship reign to become the longest reigning champion in All Elite Wrestling’s history.

During his reign as champion, Okada has defended the title against names such as Speedball Mike Bailey, Bryan Danielson, Will Ospreay and more.
While Okada is now the longest reigning champion in AEW history, he is still quite a long way away from breaking Athena’s record of almost 1000 days as Ring Of Honor Women’s Champion to break the record for the longest title reign from a talent in either AEW or Ring Of Honor.
Okada is currently set to defend his title once again at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door where he will go one on one with Swerve Strickland. You can read more about that here.
