Judge Denies AEW Motion File Information About Ownership Under Seal In Lawsuit Filed By Christopher Dispensa

The judge in the Chris Dispensa vs. Jon Moxley & AEW case has denied AEW’s motion to file information about its ownership under seal.

AEW is trying to establish diversity of jurisdiction to get the case out of Michigan state court and into federal court.

AEW is trying to keep details of its ownership private as the underlying parent is Beatnik Investments LLC, which other public records show is a Khan-owned LLC and controlled by two trusts.

The judge rejected AEW’s arguments and is giving them 7 days or file the same information unsealed or will send the case back to state court.

In his lawsuit, Dispensa alleges negligence, civil assault and battery over a 2023 incident involving Jon Moxley where Moxley shoved him to the ground.

Dispensa’s legal team claimed that Dispensa suffered ‘severe neck and shoulder injuries’ as a result of the incident and required cervical fusion surgery. Dispensa was not a full time employee of AEW, and has not worked for the company since late 2024.

Dispensa is seeking damages in excess of $25,000 for “injuries suffered due to actions of the wrestler and the company he worked for.”
