Jordynne Grace Calls Feud with Blake Monroe Therapeutic
Jordynne Grace comments on the personal nature of her rivalry with Blake Monroe.
Jordynne Grace will next face Blake Monroe in a Weaponized Steel Cage Match at WWE No Mercy on September 27. This match between a former TNA Knockouts World Champion and a former AEW Women’s World Champion could have been built around their reputations and the anticipation of such a contest. However, the storyline on TV has become very personal, with Monroe attacking Grace’s physical appearance when discussing their differences.
Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Undisputed, Grace highlighted the personal nature of the rivalry. She also called it therapeutic.
“It’s a very personal story for me,” said Grace. “I know about her past in Japan and in the independents, and she’s very talented. Against her, I’m putting all my struggles and doubts out there and addressing them publicly. In some ways, that’s therapeutic.”
However, it is still a Steel Cage Match with the promise of many weapons being used. Therefore, she’s also expecting Monroe to bring the fight.
“It’s a very personal battle, a very personal fight. I’m ready to be hit hard, and I’m ready to hit her hard, too.”
