Jon Moxley On Pro Wrestling Being Everlasting: When I’m No Longer With Us On Earth–I Don’t See An End To This
Jon Moxley waxes poetic about his affinity for professional wrestling.
Jon Moxley is scheduled to challenge Hangman Page for the AEW World Title on the July 30 AEW Dynamite. If he wins, he will make history as the first-ever five-time AEW World Champion. Whether babyface or heel, MOX has always spoken about how much professional wrestling means to him. The crux of his heel persona has been the assertion that there’s no one else on the AEW roster who can match his passion for the sport.
Jon Moxley briefly spoke with Justin Barrasso of Undisputed ahead of the match. He didn’t share any insight into his mindset or his in-character desire to regain the championship. Instead, he made a brief statement about believing in professional wrestling. He believes wrestling will outlast him and considers the industry his entire life, stating that it is intertwined with every aspect of who he is as a person.
“When I’m no longer with us on earth–I don’t see an end to this,” said Moxley, waxing poetic about how pro wrestling stirs his soul. “This is what I do. This is my life. The people within it. Anything else I do or I’m involved in, my interests are intertwined or near this.”
In the match on Dynamite, no interference will be allowed from any party. This will be the polar opposite of the Texas Death Match at AEW All In: Texas, where Hangman Page ended his most recent run with the AEW World Title after 273 days, just four days shy of his own personal record.
