John Cena Says James Gunn ‘F*cking Hates’ You Can’t See Me Jokes And Memes
John Cena reveals a fun fact about James Gunn.
Cena and Gunn have established a strong working relationship over the years, with the 48-year-old appearing in three separate projects for the director – The Suicide Sqaud (2021), Peacemaker (2022-now), and Superman (2025).
As it turns out, James Gunn is not a fan of the memes and jokes that surround Cena’s signature ‘You Can’t See Me’ taunt. To poke fun at Gunn, Cena joked that one scene from Peacemaker is indeed a reference to the memes.
“I know James and he fucking hates that joke. I don’t mind it, so in my mind, just to piss him off, yes. That’s absolutely what James Gunn meant. He meant, ‘You can’t see me.’ He is throwing shit as his computer right now.” Cena told GQ in a new interview.
The second season of Peacemaker is set to premiere on Thursday, August 21. The show is currently the highest rated project of Cena’s career.
