John Cena comments on what he thinks will come next for AJ Styles in the wake of his WWE retirement.

Cena and Styles are long time rivals in the world of WWE and both recently retired from their careers as WWE superstars. Despite Styles’ retirement, fans have speculated that AJ may turn up in another promotion down the line and for Cena, he thinks that would be Styles’ right, given what he has done in the business up until this point.

While speaking to The Takedown on SI, John Cena was asked what he feels like AJ Styles should do next, noting that Styles has earned the right to ‘do whatever he wants’.

“What do I think AJ Styles should do next? Gosh, he has earned the right to do whatever he damn well wants. He has spent so much of his life really risking his health for all of the fans of sports entertainment. He was NWA World Champion, he dominated over in Japan, he worked for TNA, he worked for WWE. He can do whatever he wants. He has earned that right.”

Elsewhere in another recent interview, Cena noted that retiring at WrestleMania is ‘selfish.’ You can read more about that here.
