Jinder Mahal Says 3MB Got A Standing Ovation For Their Extreme Rules 2014 Performance

Jinder Mahal says 3MB received a standing ovation for the Extreme Rules 2014 match.
It was a pre-show match where Hornswoggle took on El Torito in a WeeLC match.
Speaking on Inside The Ropes, Jinder Mahal said it was one of the favorite matches of his career. They didn’t know what a WeeLC match was, but they wanted to do something special, especially after they found out they’re not even on the actual pay-per-view.
It wasn’t even my match, but it was one of my favorite matches to be a part of. So we get Hornswoggle, we’re in a blood feud with El Torito and Los Matadores. We’re on every live event with those guys. We’re having so much fun, and we’re building to a match, Hornswoggle vs El Torito.
We know it’s going to be a WeeLC match, but at that time, we had no idea what that meant. We didn’t know that there was going to be a Micro Cole and a mini ladder, and mini chairs. We had no idea. We found out, possibly the day of that [event], it was on the pre-show instead of the pay-per-view.
So that motivated us like, ‘All right, we got to do something special tonight. Where they want to put us? On the pre-show? Watch what we do, ‘ Mahal said.
They talked to Fit Finley on the day of the match to discuss what they’re doing that night. Everyone put on a great show and received a standing ovation backstage as well.
“When we came back from that match, we got a standing ovation. 3MB never got standing ovations when we came back; we never did really anything meaningful, or had time to do anything. We were just given very short segments.”
A month after Extreme Rules, all of 3MB got released from WWE on June 12.
