Jinder Mahal (Raj Dhesi) Says WWE Does Have Financial Education Programs, Defends Ridge Holland

Jinder Mahal comments on Ridge Holland’s position following WWE departure.

After announcing that his WWE contract would not be renewed in November, Ridge Holland expressed that he might not be able to pay his mortgage. Holland is currently sidelined after suffering an injury in September and unable to work for the next five to six months. He is also looking at possible neck surgery.

Fans online questioned how Holland, who had been with WWE since 2018, was facing such a financial burden to where a GoFundMe was set up for him.

Former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal (Raj Dhesi) defended Holland’s position.

WWE does have financial education programs. Just curious — how much do you think NXT talent make when you subtract travel, wrestling gear, maintaining a professional athlete physique, gym, and supplements… now subtract taxes.

Now, with what’s left, try raising a family, paying for groceries, rent/mortgage, car payments, and personal health insurance for you and your family.

Now factor in not being able to earn income due to injury.

Finally, add the fact that you no longer have WWE-provided health insurance for wrestling-related injuries — and you’re staring at a possible neck surgery.

Holland recently came out to say that he had requested the GoFundMe to be taken down as he was unaware it was going live.
