Jelly Roll: CM Punk Is One Of The Best To Ever Do It
Jelly Roll praises CM Punk while watching a crowning achievement that would turn into another hurdle for him to overcome.
Jelly Roll participated in WWE SummerSlam Saturday. He teamed with Randy Orton against the team of Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre. Despite giving it his all, he came up short. Another individual who didn’t leave SummerSlam the way he wanted to was CM Punk. Punk defeated Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, but he would be cashed in on by Seth Rollins moments later to lose that same championship.
Jelly Roll spoke with Complex during the climax of CM Punk’s match with Gunther, calling Punk one of the best pro wrestlers of all time.
“I think CM Punk is one of the best ever do it. There’s no way he’s finishing Gunther, right here. He did. No way… I just think this is a good moment for wrestling.”
When asked about his future in WWE, Jelly Roll said he loves pro wrestling and wants to continue bringing eyes to the product.
“Dude, I love it, man. I just want to bring value. I want to bring eyes. I just want to show people how cool wrestling. This is my heart.”
Triple H has said that Jelly Roll has already spoken to him about doing more with WWE. Read more here.
Jelly Roll has candidly stated that it was his idea to lose the match at SummerSlam. Read more on that here.
