Jeff Jarrett Says He Still Has The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Death Match Title

For over two years, Jeff Jarrett has held the Texas Chain Saw Massacre Death Match Championship. He defeated Jeff Hardy on the August 16, 2023 episode of AEW Dynamite to win the title.
Speaking to Tom Campbell of Cultaholic, Jarrett said he still has the title in his possession.
“Of course, champions always got to have their belt on their shoulder. I grew up in the territory days, so you’ve got to defend it any time, anywhere, any place,” Jarrett said.
Jarrett clarified that the title is not under 24/7 rules.
The historic bout featured run ins from Matt Hardy, Private Party, Sonjay Dutt, Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh, Karen Jarrett, and even Leatherface.
AEW was paid $100,000 for booking the match, with the funds being donated to the Maui Food Bank in Hawaii.
