The Luna Vachon Invitational
October 26, 2025 in Ridgefield Park, NJ at POSSESSION

(NEW JERSEY – September 3, 2025) — Jersey Championship Wrestling is proud to announce The Luna Vachon Invitational, or The Luna for short, a new international women’s wrestling tournament taking place on October 26, 2025 at JCW: POSSESSION at the Knights of Columbus in Ridgefield Park, NJ, aka “The Mecca.” The event brings together twelve of the top wrestlers from around the globe— spanning the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia— for a one-night-only competition held in honor of wrestling icon Luna Vachon. Tickets are now available at JCWPossession.Eventbrite.com.

The Luna will host champions and standouts from across the wrestling world, including competitors featured in GCW, AEW, ROH, DEFY, TNA, NWA, Deadlock Pro Wrestling, Revolution Pro, Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling, Sendai Girls, and other leading independent promotions. Announced participants include Billie Starkz, Mara Sadè, Lena Kross, Emersyn Jayne, Kenzie Paige, Kylie Alexa, Nicole Matthews and Jada Stone, with more to be named. Wrestlers will compete in a series of high-stakes, multi-participant bouts showcasing the diversity, athleticism, and intensity reflective of modern independent wrestling. The card is also set to feature the 50th title defense of JCW World Champion Masha Slamovich against #1 contender Charles Mason, if she still is champion.

The announcement of the inaugural Luna Vachon Invitational coincides with the U.S. premiere of LUNATIC, the new documentary on Luna Vachon directed by Kate Kroll, at Fantastic Fest 2025 in Austin, Texas later this month. The tournament celebrates Vachon’s legacy as a trailblazing figure in professional wrestling—known for her fearless in-ring style, radical aesthetic, and defiance of industry norms. More information on LUNATIC at Fantastic Fest is available here. The film’s trailer can be viewed on its official instagram.

The Luna Vachon Invitational is more than a tournament—it’s a tribute to Luna Vachon’s singular spirit and the generations of wrestlers she inspired. Through the lens of competition, it honors her legacy while shining a spotlight on the future of women’s wrestling. The invocation of Luna Vachon’s name comes with the blessing of her son Van Hurd, nationally recognized chef and Hell’s Kitchen All-Star. He was named Best Chef by the Hartford Courant in 2024.

POSSESSION adds another major event to JCW’s stacked Fall 2025 lineup. On September 21st, JCW will return to the House of Independents in Asbury Park, NJ with KNOCKOUT featuring The 1 Called Manders vs. Mad Dog Connelly in a Lights Out Match, Matt Tremont vs. Adam Priest for GCW UltraViolent Championship, Mance Warner vs. Karl Fredericks, PROGRESS World Champion Man Like Dereiss defending against Darian Bengston, AEW’s Bryan Keith and “The Dynamite Kid” Tommy Billington in a four-way-match, Mara Sadè vs. Ava Everett, and much more. Tickets are available now.

The historic predecessor to Game Changer Wrestling, Jersey Championship Wrestling was originally founded in 1999. In 2022, Game Changer Wrestling owner Brett Lauderdale and Orange Crush founder Adam Abdalla revived JCW as a sister promotion to GCW’s national brand, focusing on blending the best of modern independent wrestling with the spirit of the territory days, running shows throughout the state of New Jersey, including the newly revived Jersey J-Cup Tournament (2023, 2024, 2025).

All shows will stream exclusively on the Game Changer Wrestling youtube.
