Jay Leno Reflects On Wrestling Hulk Hogan, Says They Rehearsed For Six Weeks

At WCW Road Wild 1998, Hulk Hogan teamed with Eric Bischoff to take on Diamond Dallas Page and Jay Leno.
Page and Leno won the match with Leno scoring the pinfall of Bischoff.
Speaking to Marc Summers on Unwraps, Leno reflected on facing Hogan.
“I wrestled Hulk Hogan. I did it for charity. We had 100,000 people. We rehearsed for six weeks. ‘I run this way, you throw him this way.’ To this day, people are going, ‘I know wrestling is fake, but I can tell you were pissed.’ I wasn’t. ‘I can tell.’ No, you can’t. Don’t you understand, it’s not real. ‘When you threw him down, you were mad.’ I wasn’t mad! We were acting! It’s stupid. Thank you very much,” he said.
The bout was the only time Leno stepped into the ring for a match.
Elsewhere during the podcast, Summer reflected on making a personal appearance with Hogan, and Hogan’s request. You can find his full comments here.
