On an episode of AEW Dynamite late last month, Tony Khan would announce a new set of championships for All Elite Wrestling in the form of the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championships. It was then revealed during AEW WrestleDream on Saturday that the brackets for the tournament to crown the first champions will be revealed on this coming Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite. Now, a staple of AEW’s women’s division has named multiple talents she would like to team with to challenge for the tag team championships.
While speaking to The Wrestling Classic in an interview ahead of AEW WrestleDream, Jamie Hayter would be asked who she would like to team with to chase the championships, naming Queen Aminata or Alex Windsor.
“I mean, Aminata’s had my back, so I’ve got to pick Aminata or if I- I feel like I’d like to tag with a fellow British bird such as myself, Alex Windsor. I think that would be a good option too. If I was going to pick myself, it would either be either one of those, but you know, Aminata’s really had my back. So I think it would be- it’d be cool for her to be by my side and see what we could accomplish as a tag team. She likes to, she likes to get down and so do I.”
At AEW WrestleDream on October 18th, Jamie would successfully defeat Thekla in a singles match at the pay-per-view. You can read more about that here.
