IYO SKY Says It Was A Triple H Call To Use Handcuffs At WWE Money In The Bank 2023
IYO SKY reflects on using handcuffs in the 2023 WWE Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
IYO SKY won the 2023 women’s WWE Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Along the way, she used handcuffs to successfully stop Bayley and Becky Lynch from capturing the briefcase so that she could climb up the ladder and obtain it.
Speaking with Chris Van Vliet, SKY revealed that it was Triple H’s idea to incorporate handcuffs into the finish of that match.
“So, actually, the idea was Hunter’s. That’s such a cool idea, the handcuff through a ladder? That is so cool. Actually, I did it in the match and tied up the cuffs to Bayley and Becky. Their hands, ladder was there, I looked at the briefcase, I felt like, ‘Oh, that’s perfect.’”
She would go on to later cash in that briefcase at WWE SummerSlam 2023 and lose the title to Bailey at WrestleMania XL. This year at WrestleMania, she had one of her favorite matches ever against Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair. Learn more here.
