Inaugural NJPW TAMASHII Tag Team Champions Crowned
The first-ever TAMASHII Tag Team Champions

The first set of tag champions for the brand.
Over the weekend of July 4th, New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s TAMASHII brand hosted a one-night tournament to crown the first-ever TAMASHII Tag Team Champions.
The tournament final saw The Pretty Boys (Magic Mark & Pretty Richie) versus Young Blood (Oskar Leube & Yuto Nakashima). After a 16-minute bout, The Pretty Boys emerged victorious to win the belts. Here is an excerpt from NJPW’s write-up about the match:
It meant for a demanding final between the Pretty Boys and Youngblood, with the two teams wrestling close to 17 minutes in the main event. Ultimately, it was Mulu pinning Nakashima after the Pretty Sweep, and an upset win that delighted the TAMASHII faithful as Pretty Boys’ work ethic and spirit paid off in the form of TAMASHIII tag gold.
The show took place at the Mangere Arts Centre in Auckland, New Zealand.
