Hirooki Goto Reflects On Filming Live-Action Street Fighter Movie: “It Was An Incredible Experience, I Didn’t Want It To End”

It was a great experience for Goto.

A live-action Street Fighter movie is scheduled to come out in October 2026. Among those starring in the film from the pro wrestling space are Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Hirooki Goto.

Goto spoke about filming for the movie as he was being interviewed by Planeta Wrestling. He told the outlet that he did not want the experience to end.

“I can’t say too much about the shooting process right now, but I can say I had an amazing time. It was an incredible experience, I didn’t want it to end.”

Coming up for Goto is that on November 2nd, he’ll be in action at Hiroshi Tanahashi’s Homecoming event. Goto will be challenging Konosuke Takeshita for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.
