Gunther declares that his new profession is to make people give up in the wake up him forcing John Cena to tap out in his retirement bout.
Earlier this month, Gunther would battle John Cena in what would be Cena’s final match in professional wrestling at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. The match was a back and forth affair until the final stretch of the match, as Cena tried everything to escape Gunther’s suffocating sleeper hold. Eventually, Cena would succumb to the finishing move, gently tapping out on Gunther’s arm to bring his iconic career to an end. Since then, Gunther has taken every opportunity to gloat about the win, with the latest stop on WWE’s Holiday tour being no different.
While speaking in a digital exclusive posted by WWE to social media, Gunther declared that his new profession is the art of making people give up in a wrestling ring.
“It’s my profession now, make people give up. This little punk right there (Je’Von Evans) thinks he’s something special, the only one special here is me!”

Elsewhere at the same WWE Live Event, Gunther would hit the ‘6,7’. You can read more about that here.
