GCW’s Brett Lauderdale Has Been Approached About Hosting Events In Saudi Arabia Ahead Of WrestleMania 43

GCW promoter Brett Lauderdale says he has been approached about possibly bringing The Collective to the 2027 WrestleMania week in Saudi Arabia.
GCW regularly hosts a series of events during WrestleMania week. Known as The Collective, these shows not only add more entertainment to an already busy wrestling schedule but also highlight unique personalities and styles in pro wrestling. As a result, many fans look forward to attending several of The Collective events, and some travel to the WrestleMania host city specifically for these alternative shows.
It was recently announced that WrestleMania 43 will take place in Saudi Arabia in 2027. No specific dates have been set yet, but the announcement has already sparked questions about the usual traditions of WrestleMania week.
A new report from Brandon Thurston and John Pollock of POST Wrestling states that Lauderdale claims he has been approached by two organizations that run events in the region, both of which have offered to host GCW in 2027. However, since the event is more than a year away, Lauderdale says it’s too early to tell if these plans are realistic. He also admitted that GCW events would likely face restrictions on how they are presented if held in Saudi Arabia.
GCW’s Collective hasn’t always followed the WrestleMania tradition. The second series of events was held in October 2020.
Mike Bochicchio, owner of Highspots and organizer of WrestleCon, another convention held during WrestleMania week, has stated that it’s very unlikely the convention would be held overseas. He believes it’s more likely they’ll choose a city in the U.S. and host an event domestically.
