Fred Ottman (Typhoon, Shockmaster) Gives Update After Gallbladder Exploding, Has Operation Set For February 23

On February 8, Fred Ottman (Typhoon, Shockmaster, Tugboat) revealed he had been hospitalized for 30 days after his gallbladder exploded inside of him.
In his latest update, Ottman said that he is at home and continuing his rehab. He is currently using a walker, and said that it’s frustrating trying to get up and down, but he is taking it one step at a time.
Ottman said he has a pre-surgery consultation set for February 16, and will undergo an operation on February 23 to have a drainage bag removed.
He thanked everyone for their support and understanding as he continues to fight and get better. He has also been signing items for fans as he recovers.

Ottman portrayed Typhoon, Tugboat, and the Shockmaster during his time in wrestling. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2025.
