Frank Grillo Recalls John Cena Paying For His Dinner On ‘Peacemaker’ Set, ‘He’s A Pure Gentleman’

Frank Grillo joined the cast of “Peacemaker” season two, playing the role of Rick Flag Sr. “Peacemaker” stars John Cena, who is Peacemaker.

Speaking to Matt Serra on Geeking Out, Grillo was asked about working with Cena.

“He’s a pure gentleman. There is something great about working with men who are secure about being men and who they are and what they are. It’s a joy and never a problem. He’s a gentleman. The way I met Cena, I was in a restaurant with my girlfriend, and he must have been at another table. I went to pay my bill and they said, ‘It’s taken care of by Mr. Cena.’ I turned around, and he was sitting behind me. I look at him and he got up and hugged me. He said, ‘Welcome to the show. It’s going to be a great season.’ He’s just a gentleman and really smart. I didn’t realize how big of a star he was in the wrestling world. I don’t watch wrestling. The only guy I know is Kurt Angle because he was one of the greatest Oylmpic wrestlers and Kurt was in ‘Warrior.’ I learned a lot about John Cena. He is quietly, by far, the most generous person in the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He’s an amazing guy,” said Grillo.

Season two of “Peacemaker” premieres on August 21.

Cena is set to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes at WWE SummerSlam.
