Former WCW Talent Chuck Coates Passes Away
Former WCW and WWE enhancement talent Chuck Coates has passed away.
Coates had a number of matches in WWE as an enhancement talent in the late 90s and early 2000s including bouts against Christian Cage, Kurt Angle, and Sean O’Haire on programs like WWE Sunday Night Heat and WWE Shotgun Saturday Night.
In the early 90s he was part of WCW and competed against Sting, Steve Austin, Dustin Rhodes, Lex Luger, and more.
His wife wrote on Facebook, “This is not a post I ever thought I’d have to make. My wonderful husband Chuck Coates took his last breath on earth and his first breath in Heaven at 3:44am while I held his hand. Please pray for our family as we navigate the days ahead.”
Coates was an avid supporter of NC State as well
