Florida Renaming Part Of Pinellas Trail To Honor Hulk Hogan

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced that part of the Pinellas Trail is being renamed to the “Hulk Hogan Trail.”

DeSantis made the announcement at Hogan’s Hangout. Hulk’s wife Sky, his son Nick, Nick’s wife Tana, and Jimmy Hart were in attendance.

The portion of the Clearwater trail that’s being renamed is a two-mile stretch between Oak Avenue and Coronado Drive. There will be red and yellow signs celebrating Hogan and exercise stations like pull-up bars on the stretch.

“This is something that my dad would be so, so proud of,” Nick said. “Because Clearwater was always home for him. No matter how far he traveled around the world or where his career took him, he always was grounded here. And he loved this community, he loved the people here. So to know that a piece of the Clearwater trail has been dedicated in his honor is something that he would be so, so, so proud of and so happy about.”

Hulk Hogan, 71, passed away at his home in Clearwater on July 24 after experiencing several weeks of post-neck surgery complications.
