Fatal Influence Helps Jacy Jayne Def. Kendal Grey To Retain NXT Women’s Title At New Year’s Evil

Fatal Influence comes in clutch for Jacy.

The first championship match of the night at NXT New Year’s Evil saw Jacy Jayne defend her NXT Women’s Championship against the current EVOLVE Women’s Champion, Kendal Grey.

The backend of the bout saw Fatal Influence’s Lainey Reid and WWE Women’s Speed Champion Fallon Henley get involved to assist Jayne. Grey took out Reid, and on the opposite side of the ring, Wren Sinclair, who accompanied Grey to the ring, handled Henley.

As Grey was setting Jayne up for her finisher, Henley held on to Jayne’s tights so she would not be moved from her position.

Jayne went on to hit the ‘Rolling Encore’ elbow to defeat Grey and retain the NXT Women’s Championship. It was the first defense of Jayne’s second reign.
