Eric Young Addresses Leon Slater On 2/19 TNA iMPACT, Says Slater Is Looking For Validation From ‘Another Company’

Eric Young puts Leon Slater on notice.

Eric Young was one of four wrestlers to retrieve a briefcase during TNA Wrestling’s Feast or Fired match. The briefcase he retrieved secured him a shot at the TNA X Division Championship, which is held by Leon Slater.

During the 2/19 TNA iMPACT, Young addressed Slater. He called Slater a ‘poser’ and ‘imposter.’ Young stated that the second phase of his cleanse of TNA is to capture the X Division Championship. He also stated that Slater is looking for validation from ‘another company.’

Young is referencing Slater’s multiple appearances on WWE programming dating back to the fall of 2025. In January, Slater was one of several talents affected by travel/visa issues ahead of TNA’s debut on AMC, and he was stuck in the UK.

He could not make the show, but he did debut on WWE Friday Night SmackDown during the company’s European tour and challenged Carmelo Hayes for the United States Championship.

Slater returned to TNA at the No Surrender special in February. He teamed with TNA World Champion Mike Santana, and they defeated Nic Nemeth and Eddie Edwards.
