Drew McIntyre Recalls Watching Clips Of Ozzy Osbourne’s Final Concert, ‘I Was Blown Away By His Performance’

Drew McIntyre remembers Ozzy Osbourne.
The music legend sadly passed away at the age of 76 on Tuesday, July 22.
Just a few days before his passing, Osbourne got the chance to perform for the final time, reuniting with the original members of Black Sabbath in Birmingham, England.
Speaking with Birmingham Live for a new interview, McIntyre said that Osbourne has kept him company throughout his wrestling career.
“Ozzy wasn’t just someone who kept me company on the road for long drives and workouts, he was part of the culture. I was over here in America when The Osbournes started to become popular and people started to become scared of lovable Ozzy. It was cool for me to see someone from Birmingham become such a giant name. He almost became a fictional character with the amount of lore and stories about him. It sucked when he passed because I thought he would live to be a few hundred years old and outlive us all.”
McIntyre then recalled watching some clips of the WWE Hall Of Famer’s final concert.
“I was watching some of the clips this week from the concert and my wife kept looking over at me. I was just blown away by his performance and how his voice held through sickness and physical health. To perform that well live, he gave everybody that amazing last curtain call and checked out two weeks later. It’s a storybook ending. If someone wrote it as a movie, you probably wouldn’t believe it.”
Earlier this week, the New York Times reported that Osborne died from a heart attack.
Fightful would like to continue to send our best wishes to the friends, family, and fans of Ozzy Osbourne.
