Drew McIntyre: If I Am Defeated On Friday, Then I Don’t Know Who The Hell I Am

Drew McIntyre is putting everything on the line.

The January 9 edition of WWE SmackDown will feature a Three Stages Of Hell match that will pit Cody Rhodes against Drew McIntyre. This will seemingly bring an end to the long-standing feud between both stars, which started back in September 2025.

In a new social media promo, McIntyre expressed his desire to create change at the top before talking about how he will feel if he loses to Rhodes once again on SmackDown.

“It’s now or never. You can’t have a new era unless there is change at the top or it’s just really the same thing. Everyone seems fine with that, Cody at the top, protect him all the time, protect their golden boy because he’s safe. I’m not safe, I’m dangerous. That’s the kind of era I want to bring. Unpredictably. Cody did a hell of a job as champ, especially to finish this story, but it’s the same. We need change. Not just for the company but for the fans. We need change for you Cody. I’ve broken you mentally. I’ve broken you physically. I’m sending you to the dark whether you realize it or not. You are the Batman, but I’m Bane. If you can climb out of that dark hole when I beat you, and take everything from you, you’re gonna return a better Cody Rhodes than ever before. It will enable someone like me, someone in the position I’m in right now. I feel unbeatable. If I am defeated Friday, then I don’t know who the hell I am.”
