Dr. Carlon Colker Appeals Court Order To Produce Documents That Show Vince McMahon Paid Medical Bills Of Janel Grant

Attorneys representing Dr. Carlon Colker and Peak Wellness Inc. are appealing the judge’s order that asked them to produce billing statements showing Vince McMahon paid for Janel Grant’s medical bills.
Colker was asked to produce the statements by January 12.
According to Brandon Thurston at POST Wrestling, Colker’s side argued that the motion “overreaches the permissible scope of a bill of discovery and seeks to convert this limited, pre-suit mechanism into an open-ended fishing expedition.”
The basis of Colker’s appeal has not yet been filed with the Connecticut Appellate Court, but the notice of appeal was filed with the lower Connecticut Superior Court on Tuesday, pushing back on the order from Judge David Bothwell handed down on December 11.
Colker and his team stated that they’ve produced hundreds of pages of documents and complied in good faith with discovery and court directives.
Grant has an active federal lawsuit against Vince McMahon, accusing him of sexual assault and sex trafficking. Colker is named in the lawsuit with Grant claiming McMahon directed her to go to Colker’s clinic for treatment. She claims she was given supplements and infusions, the substance of which was not revealed to her.
Colker has denied the claims.
Medical records have been turned over, but disputes remain about billing or payment records, which are marked “paid” but don’t indicate who made the payments.
Colker’s attorney, Frank Silvestri, told the court that Grant’s treatments were paid for by McMahon with his credit card that was on file at the clinic, but claims no records of how McMahon paid the bills exist.
Colker previously asked the court to seal hundreds of documents in former WWE employee Janel Grant’s discovery lawsuit against Colker and Peak Wellness.
