During the June 21st edition of AEW Collision, Kota Ibushi would make his return to AEW programming by the side of Mark Briscoe, leading to a brawl between the pair and the Don Callis Family, including Ibushi and Kazuchika Okada coming to blows.
In a new digital exclusive posted to AEW social media platforms following AEW Collision, Don Callis vowed to put Ibushi in the same hospital as his ‘Golden Lover friend’ Kenny Omega.
“I don’t wanna hear Kota Ibushi’s name. Kota Ibushi is a dangerous maniac. He’s the most dangerous striker I’ve ever seen in wrestling. What the hell is he doing here? This is ridiculous. This is not going to stand, Kota. I’m going to put you in the same hospital with your Golden Lover friend, Kenny Omega. I promise you that. Don’t worry about anything, Okada. We got this.”

Ibushi’s last AEW appearance came in 2023, where he competed at AEW All In.
