Dominik Mysterio: I Don’t Want To Call Myself Any Names, But I’ve Heard ‘Mr. SummerSlam’ Here And There

Dominik Mysterio might be the new king of SummerSlam.

At this year’s SummerSlam event, Dominik Mysterio was able to successfully defend the Intercontinental Championship against AJ Styles. With the victory, ‘Dirty Dom’ now has a 2-2 record at the event, with his last loss coming back in 2021.

Speaking with Bleacher Report for a new interview, Mysterio reflected on his win over Styles, saying that SummerSlam has always been a special event for his family. Mysterio even went on to say that he’s been hearing others call him ‘Mr. SummerSlam.’

“It’s definitely at the top for me, especially because my family and myself have a rich history when it comes to SummerSlam. SummerSlam’s definitely been a special place for the Mysterio Family, but it’s nice that the correct Mysterio and the greatest Mysterio of all time is taking over the mantle now. I don’t want to call myself any names, but I’ve heard ‘Mr. SummerSlam’ here and there.”

As of publish time, Dominik Mysterio’s reign with the Intercontinental Championship sits at the 107 day mark.
