Deonna Purrazzo: Bret Hart’s Sharpshooter Is Perhaps The Most Iconic Submission Hold

Deonna Purrazzo considers herself to be a technician in the squared circle. However, Bret Hart is one of the most synonymous wrestlers of all time when people think of mat technicians. Recently, Purrazzo was featured in a SHAK Wrestling video where she ranked iconic submission holds in wrestling history on a tier list.

When discussing Bret Hart’s Sharpshooter, Deonna Purrazzo put the move in the S-tier. She would call it perhaps the most iconic submission hold in history. She would also say that while many people try, no one can cinch in the hold like Bret.

“Oh my gosh. S, easy. Iconic, perhaps the most iconic. So I feel like it has to go ahead of Becky [Lynch]. When that is like, even teased to be locked in, you hear the crowd erupt, because they know what’s coming. I feel like that is what every submission specialist wants when you go for your submission, but no one’s ever going to do it as well as Bret.”
