Darby Allin Wanted To Do A Kick Flip Underwater, But There Were 15 Sharks Around Him
Darby Allin had lofty ambitions.
Back in May, Darby Allin set a world record for the highest elevation kickflip during his Mount Everest trip.
As it turns out, Allin apparently has ambitions of setting a world record for the lowest elevation kickflip as well.
“I set the highest elevation kick flip and then I brought my skateboard to the bottom of the ocean to try and set the lowest kick flip. There are 15 sharks swimming around my head. It was so fucking hard. I can’t even describe how hard it was to do a kick flip at the bottom of the ocean.” Allin said on Steve-O’s Wild Ride! podcast.
After saying that he didn’t practice for the trick, Allin explained how he thought it was going to work.
“I have no idea. I thought at the time, ‘I did this on Mount Everest. It’s going to be killer underwater.’ I thought it would float up, I strapped on a piece of a life jacket. I had to pay attention to the kick flip or to the sharks around my head. I did a finger flip. We can say the world’s lowest finger flip.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Allin said that he wants to go to space. Check out his full comments here.
Darby Allin will compete in a Lights Out Steel Cage match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. Check out the full lineup for the show here.
