Darby Allin Names His Most Painful Coffin Drop As One That Wasn’t Filmed For TV
Darby Allin talks about the wild Coffin Drop attempt that he says was the most painful for him. It took place at his house, involved being set on fire, and wasn’t filmed for purposes of professional wrestling.
Darby Allin is a daredevil. He loves his high-octane offense and never shies away from hits that push his personal threshold for pain. His signature maneuver is the Coffin Drop, a top-rope dive that is essentially a trust fall onto his opponents. However, what was his wildest Coffin Drop attempt? Allin answers that question during an interview with Robbie Fox on My Mom’s Basement.
“Oh, my God… I was filming at my house one time, I climbed a ladder and I set myself on fire and tried to, like, Coffin Drop off the ladder, but the ladder shook and then I… yeah, I’d say that probably was pretty bad. So it was outside of wrestling. Unfortunately, [it wasn’t filmed]. I was just messing around in my backyard that day.”
Darby may be a daredevil, but he was also happy to help his dad with the money he made from AEW. Learn more here.
