Colt Cabana shares how Excalibur’s Cameo on Family Guy came together.

Back in May of this year, Family Guy had an episode that featured wrestling as Chris Griffin became ‘The Griffinator’. In the episode, Excalibur’s mask would be shown, with the appearance being promoted by Colt Cabana, who helped set the moment up.

While speaking to Renee Paquette on Close Up, Colt was asked about the Family Guy episode, with Cabana explaining how it came about.

“No, my brother, who’s my brother, is the director. He’s one of the main guys. He’s been with the with Family Guy for maybe 20 years now and he’s just so- first of all, it’s so weird that I was obsessed with wrestling as a kid. My brother was drawing as a kid and you’re just like, oh, let’s go do what we want to do and he’s very successful at what he does. I’d like to think I’m successful what I do and yeah, they were doing a wrestling episode. I think he tried to get me to voice it, but they were like and then but he did ask about, he said, ‘I want to get Matt Classic in there.’ and he’s like, ‘any other masks?’ and I said ‘oh’ and I pushed Excalibur, Evil Uno, Serpentico. I think Excalibur was the easiest one to do, and afterwards, it’s so wild. I was having so much fun. I really don’t post on Twitter or X, but just the people. So I was like, I’m just going to keep on saying, what a collaboration, what a success. But it was just my brother.”
