Cody Rhodes Wins Undisputed WWE Title At WWE SummerSlam

Cody Rhodes is back on top of the mountain, defeating John Cena to regain the Undisputed WWE Title in a street fight at WWE SummerSlam.

The finish saw Rhodes hit a Cody Cutter through a table, give one final salute, and connect with a Cross Rhodes to put Cena away.

After the bout, Rhodes and Cena hugged in a show of respect.

Ahead of the finish, Rhodes hit three Cross Rhodes, but Cena kicked out. Cena came back with two AAs followed by an Avalanche AA, but Rhodes kicked out.

The match featured Cena launching steps from the ring at Rhodes onto the floor, Cena hitting the AA through the announce table, Cena delivering a code red on the floor, Rhodes connecting with a piledriver, Rhodes tossing Cena through a table, and more.

At one point, the two men brawl around the stadium, including under the entrance away. They came up through Codyvator with Cena hoisting Rhodes on his shoulders. Cena then delivered the AA on the ramp on Rhodes.

This is the second reign as Undisputed WWE Champion for Rhodes. Cena’s reign ends at 106 days. He made two successful title defenses.
