Cody Rhodes To Face Drew McIntyre In Three Stages Of Hell On 1/9 WWE SmackDown

The war between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre will continue in three stages of hell.
On Friday’s WWE SmackDown, McIntyre announced that he and Rhodes would meet in a Three Stages of Hell match on the January 9th episode of SmackDown. The bout will take place in Berlin, Germany.
Before the announcement, McIntyre tried baiting Rhodes into hitting him by referencing his family. SmackDown GM Nick Aldis held Cody back, but after the announcement, McIntyre told Rhodes to “say hi to his dad in hell for him.” As Rhodes shoved off Aldis, McIntyre struck with a Claymore.
Prior to Rhodes appearing, McIntyre paid his fine and apologized to the referee for hitting him in the face with a Claymore. He continued, apologizing for the referee not being able to make it as a wrestler and for his wife being disappointed in him.
After WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, McIntyre met with SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis to discuss the working environment and his claims of being screwed in recent title matches. Aldis agreed to give McIntyre a shot at the Undisputed WWE Title and allowed him to pick the match stipulation.
