Cody Rhodes Presents Custom WWE Title To Home Run Derby Champion Cal Raleigh

Cal Raleigh won the 2025 MLB Home Run Derby, making history as the first catcher to win the event.

The Seattle Mariners slugger defeated Junior Caminero in the finals. Raleigh hit 18 home runs in the finals while the Tampa Bay Rays 22-year-old finished with 15 home runs.

Upon winning, Raleigh was presented with a custom Home Run Derby WWE Championship by former Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.

Though Raleigh won the Derby, he nearly didn’t make it out of the first round. He finished tied for fourth with Brent Rooker, with both men hitting 17 home runs. Raleigh got the tiebreaker as his longest home run was 470.62 feet compared to Rooker’s 470.54.

Caminero and Oneil Cruz topped the first round with 21 home runs each.

In the second round, Caminero defeated Byron Buxton, 8-7. On the other side of the bracket Raleigh banged 19 home runs to Cruz’ 13.

Raleigh, whose nickname is “The Big Dumper,” leads the majors in home runs at the All-Star break with 38 home runs.

Rhodes is set to appear on Friday’s WWE SmackDown. John Cena is also set for the event, his first appearance since WWE Night of Champions.

Rhodes will challenge Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WWE SummerSlam in a rematch from WrestleMania 41.
