Cody Rhodes: My Father Hated The Term ‘Dusty Finish’

Rhodes shares another note about his father.
As WWE’s two-night SummerSlam Premium Live Event inches closer, talents on the show are making the media rounds, and one of the stops for Cody Rhodes was a sit-down chat with Hot Ones.
As the conversation was ongoing, the pro wrestling term related to his father, Dusty Rhodes, referred to as the ‘Dusty Finish,’ was brought up. Rhodes went on to mention that his father hated the term.
“Let me explain the ‘Dusty Finish.’ He hated the term but it was pretty accurate.”
The Dusty Finish is when there appears to be a definitive conclusion to a match, but the decision is later reversed due to a technicality.
Coming up for Cody, he’ll have the opportunity to become a two-time Undisputed WWE Champion when he challenges John Cena for the title on night two of SummerSlam.
