Cody Rhodes Confirms Travis Scott Busted His Eardrum With Slap At WWE Elimination Chamber PLE

Rhodes confirms the injury.
As a part of John Cena’s heel turn at WWE Elimination Chamber, Cody Rhodes was beaten down by Cena, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, and multi-time Grammy Award-nominated artist Travis Scott.
While the beatdown was ongoing, Scott slapped Rhodes directly in the face while Rhodes was lying face-first on the mat. As Rhodes is making the media rounds, he guest appeared on Hot Ones and confirmed that Scott busted his eardrum with the slap.
“I wish I could tell you it wasn’t true, because I wanted anyone else to have the credit for that. So you got Rock in the ring and you’ve got (John) Cena in the ring. But my man Travis (Scott), who nothing but love for, he has a big old hand. So yes, it did bust my eardrum. If anyone ever wonders why I didn’t slap him (or just) hit him with a Cross Rhodes, he’s gracing us with his presence. At wrestling right now, again, we’re getting all these fun folks but years ago, it wasn’t that easy… I want you to come back, man. Our house is your house. You know, maybe swing less, but our house is your house so yeah, no, Travis did do that. That’s a fact.”
After the slap, there was a conversation between Rhodes and Scott that was captured for ‘WWE: Unreal’ on Netflix. To get a recap of that conversation, head over to this link.
The Undisputed WWE Title rematch between Rhodes and Cena is scheduled to take place on night two of SummerSlam on August 3rd.
