CM Punk Recalls Fan Hugging Him During WWE Return At Survivor Series: “I Can Still Feel It Today”

Punk looks back at the moment.

It is coming up on the second anniversary of CM Punk’s return to WWE at Survivor Series: WarGames in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois.

While Punk was making a media appearance on WGN, a highlight video of him was on display, and it included his return video, during which he embraced the fan who repeatedly shouted ‘Chicago’ while hugging Punk. Punk said the following about that interaction:

“You saw the one guy hugging me. It’s like the warm embrace of Chicago as a whole, and I can still feel it. I can still feel it today. I love being here…”

Punk is scheduled to be in action at the 2025 Survivor Series. He’ll be in the men’s WarGames match. Punk will team with Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns and The Usos (Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso) to clash with Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre and Brock Lesnar.
