CM Punk Learned A Lot From Working With Justin Long In ‘Night Patrol’, ‘It’s Amazing To Watch Him Work’

CM Punk comments on working with Justin Long.

Punk, Long, and others star in a new horror crime film ‘Night Patrol’, which hits theaters on January 16. Punk has been on the trail promoting the film, which led to his new interview with ComingSoon.net.

In the interview, CM Punk talked about working with Justin Long for the first time.

“I was really blown away because you don’t know how people are going to approach this stuff. Justin Long is somebody who has been in crazy huge movies. I mean, this guy starred in a Die Hard movie with Bruce Willis. There’s almost a thought that, okay, he’s not going to take this seriously or this is just a small thing that he’s doing, it’s going to be in and out. He jumped into this with both feet and I was blown away. Shame on me for maybe assuming that he was going to think that he was bigger than this role. He absolutely destroys it in this movie and I shouldn’t have been surprised.”

Punk then talked about one scene in ‘Night Patrol’ where Justin Long and Dermont Mulroney were cooking from an acting standpoint.

“Him and Dermont Mulroney, there’s a scene where I do with them that I think they just do an acting tour de force. You would think with whatever description you hear of Night Patrol, oh it’s a vampire movie, there’s cops, it’s quasi low-budget, but no. These guys do an acting tour de force. You’re right, he did some scenes in this that were gut wrenching and I watched him just dive in and I learned a lot from just watching him. It’s amazing to watch him work.”

Justin Long will share the screen with another wrestler, MJF, in the upcoming ‘Stranglehold’ film.

CM Punk is set to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor on the January 19 episode of WWE Raw. Learn more about that match by clicking here.
