CM Punk On Dressing Up As Jeff Hardy: I’m Always Looking For A Way To Habitually Step Over The Line

CM Punk recalls a career-best moment.

In September 2009, fans were shocked to see Jeff Hardy come out on SmackDown, as he had just lost a Loser Leaves WWE match just a week prior.

Fans were furious when Jeff Hardy turned out to be CM Punk doing his best cosplay attempt. Punk remembered the segment while appearing on the latest episode of WWE Break It Down.

“I’m always looking for a way to just habitually step over the line. This was that. I got to come out to Jeff’s music dressed as Jeff, face paint on. It was a real son of a bitch moment when people realized that it wasn’t Jeff and it was me. As far as impressions go, it’s a 10 out of 10. The rib was on me because i had to rehearse this constantly. Certain people thought it was really funny, ‘No, no, you gotta dance like Jeff.’ So, i had to all out dance like Jeff and do this during rehearsal like 10 times over.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Punk spoke about his Macho Man tribute gear that he wore in 2011. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
