CM Punk Confirms That World Title Match With Gunther Will Main Event Night One Of WWE SummerSlam
CM Punk confirms some big news.
Punk is set to challenge ‘The Ring General’ for the World Heavyweight Championship during night one of WWE SummerSlam. Speaking with Daniel Cormier and Chael Sonnen on the latest episode of Good Guy / Bad Guy, Punk confirmed that he and Gunther will headline the first night of SummerSlam.
“Me main eventing, I think it’s important for the title. I think it’s important for Gunther. I think the title should more often times than not always be featured in a main event. I’m looking forward to not only main eventing SummerSlam but stealing the whole weekend, you know what I mean?’
The match at SummerSlam will be Gunther’s second defense of his current reign with the World Heavyweight Championship. He defeated Jey Uso for the title back in June.
