CM Punk Calls Out Fans Who Wait For Wrestlers Airport And Hotel: This Is Tantamount To Stalking

CM Punk shares what he finds to be the toughest part of being a WWE Superstar.

As a WWE Superstar and a public figure, CM Punk sometimes faces strangers invading his privacy. While he loves his fans and will give his all when he’s working, when he’s off the clock, he’s just Phil Brooks, a guy from Chicago who wants to be left alone.

In a recent GQ YouTube video, Punk explained that these occasional invasions of his privacy are the most challenging aspects of being a WWE Superstar for him.

“One of the hardest parts of being a WWE Superstar for me, at least, is the relationship I have with fans in public. You see me on the street, I am not CM Punk. I’m just a dude, Phil, trying to mind his own business and walk his dog and not be bothered. When I’m at work, I give all to the fans. I show up to buildings, I go outside, and I will sign and take pictures with the fans who are lined up at the building. If you are waiting for me at an airport or a hotel, I will say, ‘No, thank you, sir. This is an airport and or a hotel; this is tantamount to stalking.'”

Punk also recently shut down somebody who asked about when he would retire. Read those comments here.

Right now, Punk is enjoying this chapter of his wrestling career. At WWE Wrestlepalooza, he will team up with his wife, AJ Lee, for the first time at a WWE Premium Live Event. They will face Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins, and don’t expect the four of them to kiss and make up by the end of it.
