Chris Jericho discusses his usage of the phrase ‘ass clown’.

Over the years, Chris Jericho has been a creative wordsmith when it comes to his insults that he has slung on the microphone in the world of pro wrestling. One such phrase Jericho used was the term ‘ass clown’, which also coincided with the movie Office Space, which utilizes the phrase as an insult. However, Jericho isn’t sure if he got the phrase from the movie or came up with it himself.

While speaking to Bionic Buzz in a new interview, Jericho was asked about the phrase ‘ass clown’ and where the idea came from.

“Ass clown came from, there was a movie called Office Space. But I don’t know if I took that from the movie. I’m not saying they took it from me, but I seem to remember saying it just stringing two stupid words together, Ass Clown. So I didn’t steal it from Office Space. But subconsciously, maybe I heard it and didn’t realize it. But either way, either it was Office Space or Chris Jericho. So we’ll go with a combination of the two.”

Earlier this month, Tony Khan noted that he was hoping to have Jericho back in AEW soon. You can read more about that here.
